Tired journey of cycling…

Never once I cycled more than 5 hours a day… and now, my back is aching, my butt is painful and I’m totally exhausted…

I’m going to process the photos tomorrow… so I’ll show you what happened today… ^.^

Movie Day!

  Yep… caught 2 movies in Pavilion today…

1) Monsters VS. Aliens

2) Night at the Museum 2

Well…. Monster vs. Aliens in 3D…. but slightly disappointed with GSC’s projection… the movie jammed during the show…

So no choice, have to wait… and I took some photos…

CSC_8242

Greg with his 3D glasses… and the shy guy not wanting to show his face… haha

CSC_8245

Basically, the movie should be quite good actually. Some parts are really hilarious… and I loved it.

So, after the first movie, my friends and I went for a quick 30 minutes break, and came back for the second movie – Night at the Museum…

Well, what can I say, quite nice la… wahahahaha… use 3 words to settle everything… haha

Then we went over to Times Square for Krispy Kreme…

CSC_8244

While my friends went home, I went to PJ to meet my mom, dad and aunt for dinner… We had a hearty dinner and I went straight home by the STAR rail after that…

Well, never been so scared of travelling alone at night, but today it did scared me a little… some people are just barbaric around the Titiwangsa bus station… scared some other passengers around that area… When some one from the gang of people cried, all hell broke loose… some were yelling and screaming, but thank god, nothing happened.

Luckily enough, I managed to board the bus safely and head home…

Tomorrow, gonna have to wake up early to go for the trip to Bukit Cahaya Agriculture Park… It’s going to be fun and HOT I guess… haha… till then.

I’m back! I’m back in KL…

I must say… leaving home to study in KL is sometimes very… saddening. But instead of being sad, I’m kinda happy that I’m back… cause…

I still only have 1 year to study…

I get to be with my friends…

My mom had accompanied me to KL…

My housemates are in… and I’m not sure how the attitude is going to be…

Hmm… got the chance to taste scones baked by Greg.

Anyway, thought of going to Genting today. But due to school breaks…. Just not going there at this moment.

Till then. See everyone back in UTAR!

Furry Red Hot Fruit

The process of dying the hair FIERY RED takes about a year… The suffering is great, but the outcome is good… it’s sweet and delicious…

People awe at the wild RED colour of the hair, and more importantly, the content behind the red hair. It’s definitely edible…

And since the dying-of-hair-red is about to complete… I get to taste what is behind the FIERY RED-haired Fruit…

Taadah…

DSC_8224

Beautiful leh… Just before I depart for KL, I got to taste a few red ones… haha… I’m the first to eat the RAMBUTAN fruit of my tree this season…

DSC_8228

The whole tree was filled with Rambutans and they’re going to look great when ALL OF THEM RIPE at the same time… Just too bad I might not be in Kedah to witness that…

I know some people don’t like rambutans because of the ‘heat’… and you often hear the ah gong, ah ma and your mommy said that “don’t eat so much, very ‘heaty’”.

Well, let me tell you a secret… You should always eat the fruit IMMEDIATELY after it is plucked. And you can rest assure that you wouldn’t get sore throat or fever after that… *Terms and conditions apply* hehe

That’s it for today, happy “exotic” fruit season… wakakakakaka…

X-TRA SUPER MACRO…

Some cameras come with Macro Mode… then some extended to Super Macro… But I discovered X-TRA super MACRO… Wah sae… Like big issue niah…

Of course la! I couldn’t afford to own a Macro lens now… So instead, I bought the reverse ring, and made my lens go macro lor…

When I first try out, I used 50mm lens… but I don’t like it, cause it magnifies too much, leading to unable to fit more details into the frame… Later, I found another dad’s lens – the 35-70mm f3.3-4.5 lens. Well, I know it’s not a very good lens, but it suits my need to do reverse lens for Macro, and it allows variable range!!! See Picture for comparison…

DSC_8221_034

I was totally blown away by the fact that I can now shoot macro with just a simple step – reverse the lens!!! WOAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

So, here are some photos for you to enjoy… Macro in the Rain

See how wonderful the ants are… by the way, these ants are known as ‘Semut Selangor’… I have no idea why it’s called that, and it should not to be confused with Semut Api.

This is the very ant that bit me and caused me to have an unforgettable immediate hypersensitivity reaction… with my whole face swollen… like ‘mee ku pau’… haha… My dad joked to me, ‘Why didn’t you take a photo of yourself, ar?’

Anyway, I’ll see everyone back in KL. Till then, have fun for the rest of the semester break guys!

Leaving on the “Jet Plane”…

Cause I’m leaving… on a “jet plane”… don’t know when I’ll be back again…

Less than 24 hours… I’ll be leaving for KL. Another great adventure begins…

I’m gonna miss home…

Finally… I got my hands on the CD…

The Free Membership for LPU enables you to join LPU for a month as a tryout. If you don’t like it… you can just ignore you account after a month…

This is highly recommended to those who wanted to join LPU but in doubt. So, hopefully this will help you decide whether you’re going to join or not! Haha…

Hip and Happening Day…

The release of final exam results had made me restless the whole night yesterday. UTAR should SERIOUSLY consider upgrading their bandwidth access to the UTAR portal, release the results earlier in the day, or consider ‘automatic’ restart of server during the release of results…

By the way, I did quite well in the finals… not 4.0 but at least I’m happy, as compared to previous semester. I certainly had put in more effort last sem… except for my protein and proteomics… ^.^

Finally, it RAINED!!! SOOOO… HAPPY!!!

But then again, had to go to Penang today… Thank god I wasn’t drenched.

Adventure around Penang is interesting when you walk instead of drive. I walked all the way from the pier to Perangin Mall. Here’s a store I wanted to recommend those would like to read books but do not intend to buy new ones….

THE SECONDHAND BOOK STORE

DSC_8020_019

It’s located somewhere near Perangin Mall and along the way there, you can buy something from the morning market… Look for Jalan Chowrasta.

DSC_8021_020

You can get quite a lot of books over there – Medical books, school books, old magazines… I even spotted some National Geographic Magazines from year 1977!!!

Then, I went to see my dealer for my photography tools and finally got my hands on the reverse ring. Thank god it didn’t cost me a fortune, and I’m glad that I can now shoot macros without having to manually hold the lens anymore…

So, later in the day, I met up with Jeffery and we went for a bit of touring around Penang. I shot this along Gurney Drive…

DSC_8043_031

By the way, Hao Xue, he got a new ball!!! And he was so HIGH over it… haha… He couldn’t resist the temptation to play with his new ball… So he rolled it… LOL…

Hehe… someone got a new pairs of shoes owh…!!!

DSC_8049_034

And finally, we got a few photos taken together…

DSC_8061_042

*ahem* Kathleen… see… ask you come join us you don’t want… :P

Owh ya, by the way, Komtar is now under construction…

DSC_8014_014

*This photo has no relation with the construction site… but just so show… woahahahaha!

So, basically, I had a good day off, touring a small part of Penang… haha

Life Without Internet…

I must say, it is amazing that I could survive almost a day without internet… haha

Anyway, the blogging must continue…

So first of all,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICHELLE LIM HX

May all your birthday wishes come true ya!

Next, I shot some bugs around the house… kind of a nuisance sometimes… but good to look at…

DSC_7860_001

This one was caught in the act… of having sex… swt… haha

DSC_7876_007

Thirdly, a very good friend of mine dropped by my house, and we had a bit of photo shoot…

DSC_7965_043

His name is Zaiyed and he’s one of the best friends I’d ever had in high school. And he’s a wonderful chef too… haha

 DSC_7943_021

This one is one of my favourites…

 DSC_7957_035

He used to play a bit of break dancing and BMX but lately, he has been busy with his work and it’s depressing to see a good friend suffering from his cruel boss…

 DSC_7961_039

He was kinda sad actually, from his work and the pressure from top management seemed very cruel to his clients. He’d decided to quit by the end of the month. Hopefully things will change a little…

DSC_7979_054

And FINALLY…

I think my house telephone copper cables have been stolen… so I guess I’ll have to miss the use of internet for a while… till I’m back in KL… haiz…

P/S: If not mistaken, you may collect the Final results from the Faculty office tomorrow… I think…

I killed a tree today…

No choice… the tree is filled with ‘money-money’… (@.@) ... haha

Money-money = duit-duit leaves’

Well… duit-duit is a parasite… so it had sucked all the nutrients out of the tree and 80% of the tree is basically dead...

I had to do the last part – to kill the tree before duit-duit spread to other trees…. haiz…

I hate killing trees…

Censored National Geographic…

Malaysia, as always, is constantly protective over her children. But sometimes, the children of Malaysia are childish and are too bored, till nothing to do… so this is what happens…

A mail arrived in my mailbox – May 2009 issue of National Geographic.

CSC_7844

Well, as you know, National Geographic have, and will always be, famous with their fantastic photographs and articles… Millions world wide would wish to have the opportunity to have their photos published in this magazine, and be admired and appreciated by others…

Unfortunately, not by the Malaysian government…

This is not the first time it has happened and I don’t think it’ll ever stop. In this issue, on the coverage of…

CSC_7846

The Malaysian Censorship Board did this to my magazine…

CSC_7845

You can click on it to enlarge the photo…

Haiz… what to do, we’re living in Malaysia…

By the way, if you’re interested, there is an issue on the coverage of Borneo Forests… fantastic coverage, and shows how some of the people are money minded and not eco-friendly at all…

You can read that issue – November 2008. Or you can click here to read it directly from Nat Geo Magazine Online.

Today…

Today, is not like every other day…

Today, is the day where I start doing my things, to finish them before my semester starts…

Today, I’m going to finish as much work as possible…

So, without wasting any time today, I’m gonna stop blogging for a moment… haha.

Worklist:

2. Fix the lightings

3. Get my bus tickets

4. Complete all the society reports etc.

5. Finish at least 3 books this semester.

Cool Mike…!!!

Yea… I know… it’s undeniable…

MSTF2

When can I get my hands on guns like that… =P

Still waiting for ah Liang to join me for the airsoft gun hunt…

Weird dreams…

I had the weirdest dream ever…

So what happened during my ‘ssssllllaaazzy’ sleep?

1) UTAR was terminated…. muhahahaha… but seriously… the university had to be shut down due to some unknown reasons… because I saw some lecturers with magic powers… like Haalee Pottar… ahaha

2) UTAR was invaded by so called ‘foreigners’… more like zombies… rather… So thanks to the Haalee Pottar magical-power-enabled lecturers… some of them were successfully warded off…

3) The condo where I live has a special lift service… (since when?!) The lift service can cross from one block to another, something like the cable car… Woa! But sadly… the lift did not reach the destination and some of us were stuck at the end of the line for awhile…. *scary*

4) One of my housemates actually became very annoying… don’t know why… suffering from stress or… he just arrived for the new semester and he’s not used to the life here… *I’ll stop here… don’t wanna discuss further*

Seriously… a friend asked me this… “since you dream so much, do you ever dream about shooting photos or in a photo session during the ‘rapid eye movement’ period?”

Well… NO. Never once I had a dream about that… awkward…

And owh ya, I DID dream about meeting Mike Shinoda and have him signed my cap… =P … Whereby, in real life, my cap is still unsigned… :(

P/S: I’m hearing rumours that UTAR will be releasing our results today… but I’m not very sure about that… so everyone… keep your hands crossed!

I’m infected!!!

Yeah… I’m infected…

All thanks to Greg

I was so bored today… spent over 2 hours cam-whoring…

haha.

Anyway, I enjoyed the fun!

Visit from New Zealand…

Yes… my last destination before I… *ahem* leave, would be in New Zealand… and my uncle paid a visit to Malaysia after a LOOOOOOOONG few years.

So, we had dinner at a local restaurant… featuring my cute niece… (P/S: I think she’s my niece la… cause I’m not very familiar with all the ‘uncle this and aunt that’)

DSC_7399_005

Before we start out meals, we took some photographs… Here is my two uncles and my mom, featuring my niece… wahahahahaha

DSC_7405_011

My uncle and I… he has definitely gained weight, and I definitely need to stand up straighter… *That’s another reason why I don’t like my photos taken… Cause I’m a bit of hunchback*

DSC_7424_030

And here’s my cousin sister…

DSC_7427_033

The food was quite nice actually… worth the money (I guess)… I’m not sure how much was the bill… hehe

Anyway, tomorrow I’m gonna spend some time with my uncle for a while… Till then.

Yes! It’s OUT!!!

World of Fantasy…

Well, I’m showing some photos of flowers that could be found in my garden… they’re often missed and I had to mow the lawn today… killing most of them… T_T

Still, with an inverted lens, I can shoot some macros of them and share it with you…

*Note: Most of these are considered wild grass and are often uprooted before I even take note of them…

DSC_7197_001

My personal favourite… The Dandelion…

DSC_7212_003

This one is also another nutrient-sucking weed… haha
