三川活水 KLPF Photo Exhibit

This year’s KLPF, the organizers invited Rhythm Magazine from Taiwan (Under Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation) to exhibit some photos of the Mekong River. As the river passes by more than 6 main countries, the photographers recorded some of the most interesting photos of the people staying around the river.

I was lucky enough to enjoy the large prints of the book prior to the event. Even better, I got the chance to be part of the team that made this exhibition possible.

So if you’re free this weekend, why not head over to Mid Valley Exhibition Centre at level 3 for this annual Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival. I’m sure they’ve got some interesting events and also some free workshops for you to join in.

MPPJ Recycling Rubbish?

I saw them doing it this morning.

DSC_3354

They picked out newspaper, plastic bottles, metal tins, aluminium cans etc out from our rubbish to recycle them.

Even they know how to recycle… How about highly educated people like us? Are we aware of the benefits of recycling? Do we even know how to reduce waste at the first place? Think about it…

UKTAR V-Gen Potluck Dinner

Yesterday’s potluck dinner at TBR was fun. Although the place is a bit small, but it was a heartfelt event. Lots of people there, lots of food, and much laughter and joy. We even celebrated the birthday of October child.

Long time no see

It’s nice so meet some of your old coursemates sometimes. On the road, in the public transport, at the mall… and this time, we managed to meet up at a restaurant called Restaurant Mama Kitchen at Taman Tun.

Before we arrived at the restaurant, Elle went for a haircut and the hairstylist is awesome at cutting her hair! I must say, the hairstylist is impressive!

And the food in the restaurant is WOW. Really good! Again, they cook for vegetarians, so fret not! Order their famous “lou shee fan” (I didn’t try this dish) and other types of noodles. They’re good!

Anyways, we had quite a chat and definitely missed everyone’s company. Perhaps Elle’s suggestion should be taken seriously – can we meet at least once a month?

Nerf

Recently, Jeffrey has gone crazy over Nerf…

The Dart Tag is just crazy!

I went to Toys R’ Us yesterday, and I saw kids and adults alike attracted to them. What to say? They’re cool man!

Anyways, if you’re interested in getting an idea how’s like to have Nerf in your office, take a look at this video:

Anyways, have fun people!

I saw a girl

I saw a girl lying in pain in the hospital.

I saw her mom crying in pain beside the bed.

I saw the girl ignoring her mom, throwing a tantrum.

I saw the mom begging her to listen, while the doctors treated her.

I saw the pain of a parent loving her daughter so desperately.

I saw the ignorance of the daughter of the mother’s love.

It got me mad.

Mad of why a child so selfish.

Mad of why a mother so selfless.

Mad of the ungrateful daughter.

Still, life goes on and the daughter will learn.

Someday, that she will lose a caring mother.

Someday, she will suffer in regrets and remorse.

May she meet someone, who could tell her that she has the greatest mother on earth.

And may she learn from them, the importance of filial piety.
