This year’s reunion dinner was more like a mushroom feast.
Went back to my mom’s Kampung the next day and found out that many of my relatives are now Apple ambassadors… Kampung people also getting more and more advanced these days…
There are a lot of cute children also….
By the way, tried out the Canon 5D Mark II. Quite a good camera, I must admit. No samples here, cause I don’t have a CF Card reader with me, and the owner didn’t bring back any transfer cable. Next time perhaps.
Just a short update… More TK.
The last gathering was almost 7 months back, and it’s nice to have someone inviting you out for a drink.
I must admit, I’m much impress with how my primary school mates are doing. Some of them are working in Singapore, some were business man, some have got their own business going, while some others inherit their parents’ business.
As I can see, though most of them have never been to colleges and universities, they’re doing quite well by themselves. They’re winners and survivors.
Basically, everyone is doing just fine.
The guy who was the coolest in primary school is now the hunkiest among us all… haha
*He was badly sun tanned… that’s why the face looked so reddish as if he’s drunk. Haha…
Haven’t seen her for some time… thanks to her for inviting me out.
And finally, a group photo of us all. Didn’t expect that the group photograph came out much better than usual. Seemed like this group of friends know how to pose for a camera!!!
It was a wonderful evening, and we had lots of chat and certainly enjoyed each others’ company. I look forward to future meets.
A few days ago we did a reunion at G-hut, and yesterday night, we had another one at Hwee Xue’s house – SNACK NIGHT!
The craziness started when friends started to play card games… pick a card, and the person with the largest card will punish the person with the smallest card.
Quite a lot of snacks on the table last night… and there was a bottle of wine, but was left unopened… =D
Then, the person with the most fascinating facial expressions started to make more jokes… I admit, it’s been a while since I had so much laughter… I guess having everyone around is wonderful!
Well, I enjoyed my time there, and I am looking forward to our future reunions… Till then, all the best to everyone.
Nothing much happened really. Just went out for some photographs shooting around my kampung. And thanks a lot, my mentor is free enough to tell me what’s wrong with some of my photographs…
Here are some of the photographs which are good, but then again, could be better.
My aunt finally caged this monkey for stealing food and vandalizing plants & flowers at the backyard.
The magnificent evening sky.
Malaysia has a great deal of sceneries yet to be seen. Just that, sceneries in Malaysia is slightly harder to photograph as compared to sceneries from overseas.
Again, wishing everyone HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
These few days, I’m seeing a lot of photos of my foundation year in Facebook… It was of great memory and I would like to preserve it forever… so I’m featuring them in my blog.
Apparently, I left some other photos at home… so I couldn’t have all of them featured at once… nevertheless, here are some photos to share…
This is the photo of Edward and I fooling around the lecture hall. That time, it was after lecture and I forgot what happened and we started cam whoring… If not mistaken, it was Hee Boon who took these photographs… Thanks.
We’re buddies until Edward had to leave for UTAR Kampar… and now I heard that he’s doing fantastically well there… Cheers to you man!
This is another photo with other TE3 friends… That time, it was at PJ UTAR… and Edward was the only one from TE1… Clockwise from left, Li Pei, Shee Wuen, Thng Huei, and Edward.
The next one was a pit stop in SS2 for our class lunch together… We have the lovely couple, soo ping and soon hang…
The most important photo of all… the group photo, with everyone in, except Reshma, Indra and Lay Wee…
Top row from left: Me, Chew Keng, Huey Paey, Hee Boon, Mei Yui, Shen Chie, Mohana, Phyn Syen, Soo Ping, Soon Hang, Francis.
Bottom row from left: Hui Shan, Chai Yen, See Jiet, Voon Chai, Thng Huei, Carol Lai, Li Pei, Shee Wuen, Fern Fern.
Then we had a bit of photo session… with Mei Yui at the back… She’s the only one who didn’t come to Setapak to pursue her studies. Instead, she stayed back and continue her Psychology studies there…
… definitely miss her a lot… She was one of the nicest girl I’ve ever met…
And the following photo is not to be forgotten… Short sticks training in PJ. We had quite a great time and this photo is very important to me…
To my few friends who have forgotten that I used to learn Taekwondo… Please take a good look at this photo and remember it… I stopped because of bad time management problem in Setapak. If I stayed in PJ, I would have continued…
Anyways, this is only one part, featuring the old days of mine in UTAR PJ. Miss it so much…
A few days ago, I was in contact with Mr. Chia and he said that since he’s back in Malaysia, he planned to drop by to visit my friends and I.
After a quick planning, we decided to dine at Ming Tea House for a bite of dinner.
The restaurant owner was kind enough to block the whole section for us. Over 20 people, with orders over RM 300… we basically bring down da house!
Albert dropped by… unexpected visit…
Lovely couple… as always
Laughing over jokes… of course!
Small group photo…
Wah sae… look at ying chian… as if she’s falling in love with Mr. Chia. By the way, Mr Chia is getting married… woahahahaha!!! Congrats!
So is Ms Leong… getting engaged…!!! Yay!!!
Playing some games in the room…
As it is a tea hut, of course they serve tea!
Some others who went to play pool after the dinner…
The final group photo, with most people missing from it… hehe…
Here are only some of the photos. Instead of publishing the photos as usual, I’m going to try something different. A slide show instead! I’m still trying to work on the Soundslides program but apparently, I need an FTP server to host my files… so I made a video instead.
You can view them on YouTube here…
Sorry for the poor quality, I think next time I should consider uploading them in HD.
As most of the photos cannot be grabbed in the slide show, you’ll have to request from me la… hehe
The release of final exam results had made me restless the whole night yesterday. UTAR should SERIOUSLY consider upgrading their bandwidth access to the UTAR portal, release the results earlier in the day, or consider ‘automatic’ restart of server during the release of results…
By the way, I did quite well in the finals… not 4.0 but at least I’m happy, as compared to previous semester. I certainly had put in more effort last sem… except for my protein and proteomics… ^.^
Finally, it RAINED!!! SOOOO… HAPPY!!!
But then again, had to go to Penang today… Thank god I wasn’t drenched.
Adventure around Penang is interesting when you walk instead of drive. I walked all the way from the pier to Perangin Mall. Here’s a store I wanted to recommend those would like to read books but do not intend to buy new ones….
THE SECONDHAND BOOK STORE
It’s located somewhere near Perangin Mall and along the way there, you can buy something from the morning market… Look for Jalan Chowrasta.
You can get quite a lot of books over there – Medical books, school books, old magazines… I even spotted some National Geographic Magazines from year 1977!!!
Then, I went to see my dealer for my photography tools and finally got my hands on the reverse ring. Thank god it didn’t cost me a fortune, and I’m glad that I can now shoot macros without having to manually hold the lens anymore…
So, later in the day, I met up with Jeffery and we went for a bit of touring around Penang. I shot this along Gurney Drive…
By the way, Hao Xue, he got a new ball!!! And he was so HIGH over it… haha… He couldn’t resist the temptation to play with his new ball… So he rolled it… LOL…
Hehe… someone got a new pairs of shoes owh…!!!
And finally, we got a few photos taken together…
*ahem* Kathleen… see… ask you come join us you don’t want… :P
Owh ya, by the way, Komtar is now under construction…
*This photo has no relation with the construction site… but just so show… woahahahaha!
So, basically, I had a good day off, touring a small part of Penang… haha
McD has been promoting their lunch set, which is priced as low as RM 5.95. Since McD asked this question…
…… so today, a few friends and I went over for lunch…
Greg and others started queuing up to purchase his meals…
And here’s our order…
Jynn and Joanne started indulging in their order…
Joanne basically added fries to her Fillet-o-fish… I wonder whether it’s nice?
Here comes the important part… If you notice, indulging lunch in McDonald’s is not just fast food and valued meals. McD’s McValue Lunch helps to bring everyone together… Like friends…
Cute kids…
Cam-whore sessions….
Cute chubby friends…
And most importantly, family members… As you can see, eating together in a group at McD, especially during lunch hours is just magnificent… You get to close in ties, chit chat with friends and colleagues, see children’s happy faces, and closer family ties…
So why wait, head down to your nearest McDonald’s to enjoy McValue Lunch then!
