In conjunction with Mother’s Day, Wesak Day (yesterday) and Global Tzu Chi Day, the Taiwan Tzu Chi Buddhist Society Malaysia organized a mass wesak for blessings.
I had to go there early to join to help. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any photos during the first round of Grand Buddha Bathing. Still here are some photos to share…
Statue of the great Buddha protecting our mother earth…
My friend’s mom and her friends were busy preparing the flowers to be used during the ceremony…
Getting the things ready.
During the ceremony… had to bathe the Buddha by cleansing your soul.
Taking a break after a few hours of work…
Some other shots around the stadium, where exhibitions were ongoing…
This one in particular is one of my favourite and simplest way you can do good deeds… by donating 50 cents each day into the bamboo bank. When the bamboo is filled with money, just return it to Tzu Chi. All donations would proceed to helping the needy.
So why 50 cents? why not whole lump-sum of RM 15 per month? Well, master Cheng Yen advised to do good deeds EVERYDAY by donating 50 cents and wish for the wellbeing of others. That’s better than doing it only once a month, right?
Here’s the Rahman Tzu Ching team there in Stadium Putra.
The Jing Si Aphorism I got today was…
能付出爱心就是福,能消除烦恼就是慧。
(It is a blessing to be able to share your love; and if you can eliminate your worries, you are knowledgeable)
It really answer to my problem these few days… It’s an encouragement for me to do better…
Still, if you’d like to join our activities, or for future updates on events or trips we’re holding, you are welcome to visit http://rahmantzuching.blogspot.com for more info.
